- 1 Packet (8g) Active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup Warm water
- 1/4 tsp + 1.5 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Salt
- 1/4 cup + more for loaf pan Canola oil
- 1 cup Hot water
- 3 cups All purpose flour
Add yeast and 1/4 tsp sugar to the warm water and let it sit until it becomes frothy, around 10 minutes.
In a mixing bowl equipped with a dough hook add remaining sugar, salt, oil and hot water. Add 1 1/2 cups of flour and blend until combined.
Add yeast mixture and stir until combined. Add remaining flour and mix until fully incorporated. Cover dough with a clean kitchen towel and let rise for 1 hour.
Place dough on a floured surface. Roll out until it is the length of the loaf pan. Roll the dough like a jelly roll, folding the edges under. Place dough in a greased loaf pan and cover with towel.
Preheat the oven to 375.
When the oven is preheated place the dough in the oven. Cook for 30-35 minutes.
Remove the bread and let cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan.
