- 1 cup Flour
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Baking powder
- Pinch Salt
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 3 tbsp Melted butter
- 1 Egg
Place all ingredients into a medium mixing bowl.
Mix on medium speed until no lumps remain.
Let the mixture stand for 5-10 minutes, it should expand slightly.
Heat waffle iron to medium-high heat. Cook batter until the waffle is golden brown, around 3-4 minutes.
Serve with butter and maple syrup or with berries and whip cream for an extra special treat.
