- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp Sea salt
- 12 Medium Granny Smith apples
- 12 Wooden sticks (6-8 inches long)
In a medium saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup and water and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
—
Swirl, but do not stir, the sugar mixture and continue cooking until a golden brown color or a candy thermometer reaches 320 degrees, around 10-12 minutes.
—
Remove saucepan from the heat and add the heavy cream, stirring slowly until fully incorporated.
—
Add butter and salt then stir.
—
Place the saucepan back on the heat and cool on med-low heat until the caramel is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
…
Insert wooden sticks into washed apples. Coat each apple in the caramel sauce and place on a parchment paper lined place or baking sheet. Allow to cool or alternately decorate with drizzles of melted chocolate, sprinkles or assorted candies.

Serve and enjoy!
